What is your favorite childhood memory?
Every summer my family would go camping for one or two weeks. I especially remember on trip to Washington state for my brother’s wedding. We camped in the Black Hills, Montana, and British Columbia, and it was my first time on a horse.
Best advice received?
If you’re gonna worry, don’t pray. But if you’re gonna pray, don’t worry.
Favorite Bible verse?
For a day in your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere. I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of wickedness.
Favorite academic subjects?
What do you enjoy most about teaching?
I love interacting with my students. I love to share my life with them and to learn about them and their experiences.
Why do you want to serve in Japan?
God has given me a love for Japan and a desire to see people’s lives transformed by the hope that only God can give.
What excites you about serving with Genesis College?
I love spending time with college students. They tend to be excited and optimistic without too many of the concerns of this world.
Favorite free time activities?
Racquetball, unfortunately I’m not aware of any racquetball courts in the entire nation of Japan!
